{Alex & Matt} Minnesota Winter Fairytale Wedding

Alex & Matt's Winter wedding looked as if it was taken straight from a fairytale. Alex was the beautiful princess in her GORGEOUS Essense of Australia off-the-shoulder gown. Matt was her prince charming and he played the part so well, ever the gentleman. They are one of the sweetest couples I have had the pleasure to work with.

Alex has a love for all things Disney and she incorporated that into their wedding day in the most elegant, beautiful manner. The wedding was full of sweet, personal touches to make the occasion special for their guests. Christmas carolers greeted guests as they arrived for the ceremony, a brass band played for the brides entrance, and guests found their place cards hanging on a Christmas tree with an ornament at the reception. The reception at Lakeside Ballroom in Glenwood, MN was decorated beautifully with fresh winter greens and fresh flowers (done by Freeport Floral) accenting the gold carriages and lanterns that were the centerpieces. There were golden accents throughout and they had the most beautiful cupcake display!

If there was one complaint about the whole day it was the weather, at a balmy negative one degree as a high for the day! A risk that you take when planning a Winter wedding in Minnesota. BUT the wind stayed calm and we moved quickly to capture couple and wedding party portraits outside. Alex and Matt wanted to do as many portraits outside as we could handle and we did! They were so worth the few minutes of cold to get beautiful portraits that will last a lifetime!
