{Hayley & Roman} Central Minnesota Spring Wedding

What a difference two weeks can make in Minnesota in the Spring! Two weeks ago I photographed a wedding with snow on the ground and freezing cold temperatures. Then there was a blizzard. BUT for Hayley and Roman's wedding it was a perfect spring day! In fact, the wedding party all managed to get sunburns! What a beautiful change of weather for a truly beautiful couple!

I met Hayley and Roman last summer for a good old bonfire and s'mores for their engagement pictures and we hit it off right away. They started dating after being set up by a good friend (and bridesmaid), Kayla. They are best friends who just love to be together. One of their favorite activities is ice fishing and in fact that is how Roman proposed. He surprised Hayley so that when she pulled up the line thinking that she caught a fish she found a ring and turned around to see Roman down on one knee. :) What a great proposal with an even better wedding day to follow!

Originally, we had planned to take photos out at Hayley's grandparents farm but since it was so wet we instead opted for Legacy of the Lakes Museum in Alexandria. They were kind enough to let us use their space and it worked out perfectly! After portraits, the ceremony took place at Glenwood Lutheran Church and then the reception at Forada Supper Club.

The day went without a hitch and they are now the newest Mr. and Mrs. Wilson!

Let the party begin! Now that the nerves of the ceremony are done everyone could relax and prepare themselves for a great night. Let me tell you did they ever have a FUN wedding reception and dance! They had the dance floor packed the whole night! The traditional garter toss was instead musical chairs that got to be quite rambunctious and then the winner chose for the groom to remove the garter with his feet! HA! That was totally entertaining! All in all it was a wonderful day and a really fun dance! Lots of memories made and captured.
