Jennifer & Kasey were married at the beautiful Gathered Oaks in Alexandria, MN. The weather couldn't have been more perfect.... until it wasn't. Read on to find out more.
Gathered Oaks is a gorgeous venue in situated with a beautiful newly remodeled, rustic barn. Complete with all of the amenities including air conditioning and an elevator for guests. It is situated at the top of a hill overlooking a lake. A perfect area for an outdoor ceremony.
They have a gorgeous bridal suite for the ladies and are finishing remodeling a beautiful house and continuing to add on the the amenities.
Jennifer had a beautiful lace Maggie Sottero gown with her bridesmaids dressed in short grey lace dresses with light pink accents and cowgirl boots.
Jennifer's daughter along with her girlfriends all took turns helping Jen with the many buttons up the back of her gown and the finished look was gorgeous.
The sun was shining and we had beautiful weather for pictures!
We finished up with pictures and everyone went inside to hide as the guests arrived. Little did we know that as soon as everyone was safely tucked away, the clouds would let loose the rain showers! Lots and lots of rain fell and I felt so badly for DJ Drew LaPlant as he scrambled to get his gear out of the rain. He was all set up for an outdoor ceremony. After lots of deliberation of whether or not the rain would stop, it was decided that the ceremony would simply be moved to the basement. In the end, Jen and Kasey said "I do" and they were pronounced husband and wife!
After the ceremony was over, the rain was done, the sun was shining and it was beautiful again! Tears from heaven from Jennifer's dad it was decided. :)
The barn of Gathered Oaks is beautiful on the inside with large natural wood pillars, rustic wood chairs, and the original wood from the original barn. With some finishing touches, it was stunning for a fun evening with friends and family.
Their kids played underneath the head table as the couple played the shoe game and gave speeches.
By the time the dance started, the couples four year old son was exhausted and couldn't hold out any more. He collapsed in a bridesmaids arms and had a nice little nap in the corner. Now that is tired!!!
