John and Leah were married last Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the reception following at Blackberry Ridge Golf Club in Sartell, MN. Planning a wedding for March in Minnesota is always a toss of the coin. Will there be a snow storm? Will the snow be gone? Temperatures? Who knows! Well Leah and John were pretty luck but don't let that sunshine deceive you... it was COLD and windy! The week of the wedding the temperatures started out in the 60's and it was gorgeous but by the weekend we were back down to the 30's. But we didn't let that stop us and they were blessed with such an amazing, fun wedding party that totally went with it. "Just think warm thoughts" was the mantra. It wasn't too bad if we stayed out of the wind so we did most of the pictures in an area surrounded by trees and it was beautiful.
Such a beautiful bridal suite for getting ready and capturing the wedding details. There was no natural light in there (which is what I always try to use) but it was too beautiful to go anywhere else. Then the girls all arrived and they enjoyed some mimosas in their pretty floral robes. Leah had special first looks with her bridesmaids and a special gift for her dad.
At the reception, we had to do a few fun shots at the bar and it just so happened that Leah's grandmas were right there and wanted to join in! I loved it. How sweet is that?! Such cool grandmas! Which is fitting because all of their friends and family were such a joy to get to know.
It is weddings like this that leave me grinning from ear to ear thinking how blessed I am to have a job where I get to know so many knew wonderful people. I hope our paths meet again!
