Breanna and Caleb had the most stunning wedding at the new Alexandria, MN wedding venue, Gathered Oaks. I was so excited to see the new venue for the first time and it did not disappoint! It is an absolute stunning venue complete with a refurbished three level vintage barn, a bridal suite, and a beautiful lake view for outdoor ceremonies.
The barn itself is exquisite! It has a full basement, a main floor where the dinner was held, and even a loft with additional seating that is open and looks over the main level. The building is partly brand new and partly a refurbished barn but it is beautiful. Did I mention that has air conditioning?!?!? Oh let me tell you how wonderful that felt on a hot summer day! Gorgeous right? Yep. LOVE! Anyway, Breanna and Caleb were one of the first weddings to be held at this beautiful venue and they deserved it. Such a wonderful, sweet couple! I was so honored to be able to capture their wedding day. They are a couple surrounded by so many people who loved them. I am turning into such a sap because there were times I was holding back tears just because of how obvious the love was between them and for them!
One wedding trend that is becoming popular is to have an "unplugged" ceremony. Basically, the bride and groom want their guests to put their phones and cameras away and just be a part of their ceremony rather than watching it through a screen. The couple hired a professional for a reason and sometimes sadly people with their cell phones can ruin some important pictures for the bride and groom. Breanna and Caleb had an unplugged ceremony and I alone was responsible for capturing every detail. No pressure. ;) Actually, I am so proud of them for this and now they have beautiful photos of their ceremony and their guests were able to just enjoy their beautiful ceremony.
