We photographed Mike & Lori's engagement pictures at Viking Speedway in Alexandria, MN last week. Every session has its complications, but it is my job as a professional photographer to work around things that come up. For example, we had to hide in the grandstand for some of the photos because it kept raining off and on but it worked out great! We couldn't go out on to the actual track or across it because they were working on it and it was really muddy. So some of my ideas had to get tossed. But honestly I love how they turned out! I love it when couples incorporate places and ideas that personalize their sessions and make them more meaningful to them. Mike is the flagman at the racetrack so it was very fitting to do photos at a place that they love and is a part of their life. I can't wait for their wedding this fall where we plan to take some photos at the fire department! Thanks Lori and Mike!
